De Thuisboetiek has an online signboard thanks to Sitebuilder web shop
Helping you make your home nice and cosy and comfortable. That's what Joke and her husband do with their own home improvement shop De Thuisboetiek. At fun home parties, they present their collections of bedding, bath linens and nightwear at your home, among other things. "We even bring our daughter's homemade ceramics," says Joke. The Home Boutique therefore needed a well-organised website. Which the energetic entrepreneur created all by herself thanks to Easyhost's Sitebuilder.
Joke may be busy running De Thuisboetiek, but she has worked out her Sitebuilder website down to the last detail. As such, it turns out to be an important part of her home shop. Joke: "Our webshop is our signboard. So it has to radiate the same cosy and homely atmosphere. The whole online picture has to be right. Anyone coming to a home party can have a look at our offer beforehand. Or neighbours who can't come, pass on their order to the hostess via the webshop."
"Not expensive"
Taking control of your online reputation yourself was one of the main reasons for Joke to choose Easyhost's Sitebuilder. "I once had a WordPress webshop created. And while that webshop certainly had its advantages, as the owner I could only adjust minor details. Can you believe I had to pay 75 euros to have a simple photo changed? 'I never want that again,' I said to myself then. I want to be able to do everything myself."

Eventually, Joke took the online part of The Home Boutique into her own hands. "I compared different website builders. Shopify, for example. But that platform is much more expensive. Whereas with Easyhost I pay much less on an annual basis. I don't find it expensive at all! So my choice was quickly made. After all, I already manage my domain names and associated mailboxes at Easyhost too. So the trust along my side was already there."

Afterwards, it was time for action and Joke started creating her own website. That turned out to be very easy: "Actually, Sitebuilder is self-explanatory. You choose a template and off you go. It is really feasible to create a website as a layman. You don't need to be an IT professional. So I don't need anyone, I adjust everything myself. If I'm still in doubt about something, I use the information on Easyhost's help pages."
Even though the webshop is a success and Joke gets positive feedback, she is already thinking about the future. "Now that all my pages are worked out the way I want, I plan to optimise everything. Because I want to improve the findability of my pages on Google. You can work on that too thanks to Sitebuilder."

Seeing The Home Boutique's webshop pop up in the first search results of Google and score online with its products is obviously very important for a start-up entrepreneur like Joke. "I worried about that for nothing. I couldn't get my site to be findable on Google. After a lot of toil, I called Easyhost's helpdesk. By the sound of it, Joke has anything but regrets about her decision to choose Sitebuilder. "I'm quite a demanding person, especially for myself then, so I've been working fanatically on our webshop (laughs), but the result is great, I'm very satisfied!"
