How to configure my Basic mailbox in Windows Live Mail (POP3/IMAP)? (basic mail)

  1. Open Windows Live Mail.Windows Live Mail
  2. Switch to the Accounts tab and click on Email. Configure your email settings:Switch to the Accounts tab and click on EmailEmail settings
    1. Enter your email address.
    2. Enter your email password and tick Remember this password.
    3. Display settings.
    4. Tick “Manually Configure server settings”.
    5. Click on “Next”.Enter all your data
  3. Configure your server settings:Configure your server settings
    1. Select your server type between POP and IMAP.
      1. POP3:pop3.mailprotect.be(port:110; SSL port: 995)
      2. IMAP:imap.mailprotect.be(port: 143; SSL port: 993)
    2. Copy your incoming server address from the control panel
    3. Check “Requires a secure connection (SSL)”
    4. Choose “Clear Text”
    5. Enter your email address for a Logon user name.
    6. Copy your outgoing server address from the control panel
      1. SMTP:smtp-auth.mailprotect.be(port: 2525; SSL port: 465)
    7. Check “Requires a secure connection (SSL)”
    8. Check “Requires authentication”
    9. Click on “Next”Configure server settings (IMAP)Configure server settings (POP)
  4. Click on “Finish”finish
