These create a link between the e-mail and the domain name (from the e-mail address). The only problem is that they have never been used in a consistent way. Until DMARC came along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those who want to send a lot of e-mails (for example, for campaigns, newsletters, etc.), DMARC is a useful technology for ensuring that your e-mails are actually delivered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"htoc-how-does-dmarc-work\">How to set up DMARC and DKIM on your mailbox?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To set up DMARC on your Combell mailbox, follow these steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/dmarcadvisor.com\/dmarc-generator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/dmarcadvisor.com\/dmarc-generator\/<\/a> to create your own DMARC record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.easyhost.be\/en\/help\/kb\/how-do-i-create-a-txt-record\/\" data-type=\"ht_kb\" data-id=\"490\">Add the result as a TXT record<\/a> to the DNS settings of your domain name.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\"><strong>Do you not want to set a specific policy with DMARC?<\/strong> Use the following data:<br><strong>Hostname<\/strong>: _dmarc<br><strong>TXT-record<\/strong>: v=DMARC1; p=none<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DKIM is not available on our standard mailboxes.<br><\/strong>They are not designed to send hundreds or thousands of emails at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-does-dmarc-work\">How does DMARC work?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead of a big spam filter aimed at keeping malware and spam away, DMARC uses a reliable method of identifying legitimate e-mails and thus delivering them to the recipients&#8217; inbox.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To evaluate your e-mails, DMARC uses two complementary but independent technologies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>SPF: Sender Policy Framework<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DKIM: DomainKeys Identified Mail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Both aim to link an e-mail to a domain name. A kind of identification in the form of Authenticated Identifiers.<br>DMARC brings these Authenticated Identifiers together in the header of an e-mail so that spam filters can assess them. You can see the result in the &#8216;Authentication-Results&#8217; (see screenshot below).<br>Those results must point to the same domain as the &#8216;From&#8217; field in order for the e-mail to be evaluated positively.
