Linking an extra domain name to your hosting package can be done in several ways.
\nIf you just want to add an extra domain name, this is called an alias domain (see below).
\nIf you want to add an extra website with an extra domain name. Read this: Put multiple websites on one hosting package<\/a><\/p>\n

To add a domain, follow these steps in the control panel<\/a>:<\/b><\/p>\n

  1. Go to \u201cMy products\u201d> \u201cWeb hosting\u201d> Click on \u201cManage hosting\u201d next to the desired package.<\/li>\n
  2. In the menu on the left, choose \u201cWebsites & SSL\u201d.<\/li>\n
  3. To the right, click on \u201cManage website\u201d and choose \u201c+ Add a domain name\u201d in the dropdown, see the image.<\/li>\n
  4. Now enter your (sub) domain name and click on \u201cAdd a domain name\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Do you get a message that you need to add a TXT record?<\/i><\/i><\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t
    Copy the TXT record and add it to your domain name via the control panel of your domain name provider. Try again 15-30 minutes later to add the domain name.<\/p>\n

    After adding your domain name, you adjust the A records (and AAAA records) of your domain name to the IP address of your hosting package. You do this on the control panel of your domain name provider.<\/p>\n

    • A-record<\/strong>:
      \nHostname: Your added domain name
      \nIP-address: The IP address of your hosting package
      \nTTL: 3600<\/li>\n
    • AAAA-record<\/strong> (only if your hosting package also has an IPv6 address)
      \nHostname: Your added domain name
      \nIP-address: The IPv6\u00a0IP address of your hosting package
      \nTTL = 3600<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
