Add link to another page

With SiteBuilder you can easily refer to internal pages on your website. That is the perfect way to create a custom sitemap or a menu.

Before creating your links or references, you should already have entered your text in a Text Widget window.

  1. Select the desired text to refer to the internal page.

  2. In the text editor field, click on the icon with the chain link at the top.

  3. In the Link type drop-down menu, choose Pages.

  4. In the Select Page drop-down menu, choose the page that you want to link to.

  5. Click OK.
  6. Save your project by clicking on the Save button at the top right.

    It is best to test the functioning of the newly created link in the front end. If you have not yet published your website, you can use the Preview mode. To do this, click on the Preview button at the top right.

Add link to another section on the same page

With SiteBuilder you can easily refer to another part of your text within the same page. This is the ideal way to create a table of contents or a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) at the top of a page. These instructions explain how you work.
Links

Before you start creating your links, you must already have entered your text in a Text Widget window.

  1. First you have to create the so-called Internal links or Anchors. An anchor indicates an important part of a page that you want to refer to later. For example, that may be the titles of the different parts of your text.
    1. Select the title or text to which you want to refer.

    2. In the word processing window, click on the icon with the flag at the top.

    3. Enter the internal link name – a name for the internal link that is clear to you. Confirm with OK.
    4. If all went well, you should now see a flag for the anchor title.
    5. Repeat this for each anchor point
  2. Then you create the links to these anchors.
    1. Select the text to refer to the anchor point.

    2. In the word processing window, click on the icon with the chain link at the top.

    3. In the Link type drop-down menu, select Internal link in page.

    4. In the ‘Name internal link name’ drop-down menu, select the anchor name – the name that you gave the corresponding title in the previous step.Select an anchor
    5. Click OK.
  3. Save your project by clicking on the Save button at the top right. It is best to test the functioning of your newly created links in the front end. If you have not yet published your website, you can use the Preview mode.
